Stevie started playing drums professionally for five years, starting in 1963. Then switching to Hammond Organ and piano in 1968. After working The Colorado scene for eight years, Stevie moved to Kansas City, working and touring with his own band, "Legend" for ten years.

Returning to Denver in 1986, Stevie was a founding member of J.D. and the Love Bandits. Working most of the ski resorts in Colorado and surrounding areas. Winner of the 1986 Colorado division, of the Willie Nelson Wrangler Jeans Invitational unsigned bands contest. Moving to Hilton Head Island in 1991 and the Caribbean later for many years. Stevie Legend has played most every venue on Hilton Head and later on Carnival Cruise Lines for over fifteen years. Ending up later in St. Thomas, Las Vegas, and now Florida.
